Metrics overview
Last updated [DATE]
Aivting reports four headline metrics and several source views. Each one is computed from the same collected answers, always shows the number of answers behind it (n), and counts active prompts only. This page puts them side by side; each has its own page with a worked example.

The metrics at a glance
| Metric | What it answers | Counts | Shown when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visibility | How often am I named? | Answers naming your brand ÷ n | n is above 0 |
| Share of voice | How much of the conversation is mine? | Your mentions ÷ all mentions of tracked brands | Mentions exist |
| Average position | How early am I named? | Mean of your position in answers that name you | At least 3 answers name you |
| Sentiment | What tone are the answers in? | Average tone score (-100 to +100) over labelled answers that name you | Not available yet on live projects |
| Your site as a source | Do answers that cite my site name me more? | Visibility with vs without a citation of your site | At least 10 answers on each side |
Rules every metric follows
- n is the usable answers. Answers with status "no answer", "failed" or "blocked" are counted separately and never as "not mentioned". See Sample size (n).
- Active prompts only. Paused prompts drop out of every figure.
- UTC days. A day is the UTC date of the run.
- The headline boxes switch the chart. Click a box to show that metric in the chart, one point per day, for every brand. The choice stays when you change the filters and carries into the report.
- Filters apply everywhere. The KPI row, chart, prompts table, Sources panel and CSV files follow the same filters. See Filters and date ranges.
- A pattern is not a cause. A metric describes the answers collected. It does not show that a change you made caused a change in the answers.
Source views
Sources show which sites answers cite, Gaps show where competitors are cited without you, and Listicles show list pages.
