    Runs and answers

    A run is one collection pass over your active prompts. Each run produces one or more answers per prompt per engine. An answer is the full reply an engine gave, plus its status and the sources it cited.

    Why answers vary

    Ask an engine the same question twice and you can get two different answers, naming different brands in a different order. That is how the category works, not a fault in the data. This is why Aivting collects several answers per prompt, shows every rate with n, and asks you to read trends over days rather than a single answer.

    For example, if Ostrova (a fictional brand) is named in 3 of 5 answers to one prompt, its visibility for that prompt is 3 of 5, or 60%. Tomorrow it could be 2 of 5. Neither day is wrong; both are small samples.

    Your own chat is not a sample

    An answer you see when you ask an engine yourself is one answer, possibly shaped by your history and settings. It can differ from what Aivting collected. Compare against the collected answers, not against one chat.

    The day on the chart

    A day is the UTC date of the run. Runs on either side of midnight UTC fall on different days, whatever your local time.

    Open the answer behind a number

    From the chart, the prompts table and the Sources panel you can open the answers behind a figure.

    • From a chart day. Click a day, then See answers from this day.
    • From the Sources panel. The answers count on a domain or page opens the answers that cite it.
    • From a prompt. The prompt's page lists every answer in the window with its engine, date and time (UTC), and the run it came from.

    Lists follow your filters and the active prompts only, newest first, up to 200 answers, with the total shown.

    The answer view

    Open an answer to see:

    • Prompt sent. The text exactly as sent to the engine.
    • Full reply. The whole answer, with every tracked brand highlighted: yours in green, each competitor in its own colour.
    • Details. The engine and model, when it was collected, the status, the location and language, and the run. Owners and editors can open the run; viewers see the answer but not run details or costs.
    • Tracked names and cited sources for that answer.
    • Previous answer and Next answer. Move through the answers to the same prompt, with "n of N" showing where you are.

    Old answers keep their detection

    Detection happens when the answer is collected. Changing competitors or brand domains later does not re-check old answers. See Projects.
