    Share links

    Last updated [DATE]

A share link gives someone a read-only view of a project without an account. Share links are off by default, expire after 30 days and can be revoked at any time. Anyone with the link can see what the link shows, so share it like a document link.

How to: Create and revoke a share link · Share link doesn't open

    What to know

    • Read-only. The viewer cannot change anything.
    • No login. Anyone with the link can open it until it expires or you revoke it.
    • Off by default. Nothing is shared until you create a link.
    • 30 days. A link stops working after 30 days. Create a new one to continue sharing.
    • Revocable. Revoke a link and it stops working at once.

    What the viewer sees

The shared page is a read-only copy of the project dashboard, labelled "Shared view, read-only", with the date the link expires. It shows your logo if you uploaded one, and the viewer can still change the date range, engines and tags.

    • Shown: the headline figures with their n, the chart, the prompts table (active prompts only) and the Sources panel.
    • Answers: only short excerpts. For each prompt, up to 3 excerpts of 300 characters or fewer from answers that name your brand. The full reply and the exact prompt sent are not on the shared page.
    • Not shown: chart notes, the member list, settings, CSV export and run history.

Because the page shows your brand, competitors and prompts, share it only with people who should see them.

A share link suits a one-off look, such as a client who wants to glance at a report. A viewer account suits someone who comes back often. See Roles and permissions.

    Who can create one

Only project owners create and turn off share links. Editors and viewers cannot. See Roles and permissions.
