Your site as a source
Last updated [DATE]
Your site as a source compares your visibility in answers that cite your website with your visibility in answers that do not. It appears only when at least 10 answers cite your site and at least 10 do not. It describes a pattern in the answers, not cause and effect.
How to: Read your dashboard
Rule
- "Your site" is any of the brand's domains.
- Both groups use active prompts, ok answers and your current filters.
- Each side needs at least 10 answers, otherwise Aivting shows no comparison.
Example
Of Brindlepath's 40 answers, 12 cite its site and 28 do not. Brindlepath is named in 9 of the 12 (75%) and in 3 of the 28 (11%). Answers that cite the site name the brand far more often.
What it does not show
Answers that cite your site probably name you more often because the answer was drawn from your page. It does not show that publishing a page will raise visibility. A page may be cited because the engine already named you, or the reverse. Treat it as a pointer to which pages to look at.
Where you see it
In the Sources panel and in the prompts CSV columns "Answers citing your site" and "Of those, naming the brand".
