Visibility
Last updated [DATE]
Visibility is the share of usable answers that name your brand. It is the first number most reports start with. It is shown as a percentage with the count behind it: "12 of 40 answers name Brindlepath" is a visibility of 30%.
How to: Read your dashboard
Formula
Visibility = answers that name your brand ÷ n, where n is the number of ok answers in your filters.
Example
Brindlepath (fictional) has 40 ok answers across its active prompts in a week. 12 of them name Brindlepath.
- Visibility = 12 ÷ 40 = 30%.
- A brand mentioned twice in one answer still counts once.
- Answers with status no answer, failed or blocked are not in the 40.
Where you see it
The first box in the KPI row, its line on the chart (one point per day), a column in the prompts table and the Visibility columns in the prompts and daily CSV files. Click the box to switch the chart to this metric.
Things to know
- Visibility and share of voice can move in opposite directions. See Share of voice.
- A competitor you add or remove does not change your visibility, because it only counts answers that name your brand.
- It is per engine: filter by engine before comparing.
