Roles and permissions
Last updated [DATE]
Aivting has three roles: owner, editor and viewer. A viewer is read-only, enforced by the database, not just by the screen. Only owners manage people and share links. People join by invite link; Aivting does not send an invite email, so you pass the link on yourself. Agencies usually make their own team owners or editors and give clients the viewer role.

Invites
An owner creates an invite link for one email address and chooses a role, editor or viewer. The invitee opens the link and signs in with that same email address. Aivting does not send the email: you send the link, which is shown once. An invite expires after 7 days and works once. A project can hold up to 20 pending invites, and a new invite to the same email replaces the old one. Joining adds the person to that project only, never to your whole account.
Typical set-up
An agency: owners and editors on the team, the client as a viewer. A client viewer sees the dashboard but cannot change anything.
